We both agree that getting your franchise QB is the most important thing.  I think getting Ben a couple of more weapons and some protection - and you've got yourself great QB play AT LEAST until he's 35.

I tend to think keeping Ben and drafting pieces around him (and actually hitting on your draft picks) is the best thing the Steelers can do.  And you know what?  I bet you they agree with me & keep Ben and keep building around him.

 

 

Understand, Ben has played behind a pretty lousy OL for many of his years in Pitt, and has gotten the tar beaten out of him. He's (IMO)likely going to decline earlier than a QB who did not take as many hits. 

 

If the Steelers can get a nice return for Ben, such as I have outlined, I take it and don't look back. 

 

I'm not saying for the Steelers to have a fire sale and take the highest bid for Ben even if its only a single 2nd rounder. The price of a 1st + 3rd would have to be met. Otherwise, Ben would be more valuable for Pitt to just keep at the time being,
