I don't think the bowl game is a "small piece" of the puzzle.

I think it's a much bigger piece than the Senior Bowl, for example.


The USC was a perfect game to illustrate how he is under pressure.

 

The Senior Bowl and other environments are good to illustrate whether he's a leader, how he can learn, etc.

 

The other games are also good for situational evaluations, like "how is he on 3rd and long" etc.

 

So yes, it's all a big puzzle.. but I can't just forget about what happened against USC.  The vast majority of the rest of his games are kind of "meh"... shotgun, throw a dart to someone.  Yes, I know he can do that - but I don't think that warrants him being a top 20 player.
