To answer your original question, i have a nice pair of binoculars hanging in my closet that I bought 20 years ago and have never used.

I had a friend who used to own a magnificent pair of binoculars..

On a totally unrelated note, he's no longer allowed to live within 500 yards of a women's refuge, not sure why.
