Do you know the difference between drafting an unknown rookie QB who you needs competition just to up your chances of getting a decent one and signing last the 2018 Superbowl MVP QB? We paid a lot of money for Foles. That means he is DEFINITELY the starter. If we drafted 2 QB's it would be an open competition. There is a HUGE difference. We signed a definite starting QB. We did not need another one. We already had 4 on the roster. I'd MUCH rather get more competition on the offensive interior over a 5th QB who will likely be competing for a PS position. That's a no-brainer.

The only thing I think about drafting a qb when you have a solid starter is why do you waste a draft pick unless that selection could come in case of injury to your starter and play well enough that you continue to win?  I'm thinking of someone like Jacoby Brissett.  We already have Kessler.  Looks like they drafted Kessler 1.1.
