Yeah that's not true. Risner was the #1 rated run blocker in the class by PFF, and Taylor is nowhere near as good of a pass blocker...where yet again Risner was ranked #1 in the class.

And to mention again, Taylor had lots of red flags whereas Risner gets rave reviews from everyone for his leadership/work ethic/toughness/mean streak etc.

And lastly, we wouldn't have had to trade up to get him. Risner would have been the better pick for literally every reason.

And as for Ford, on talent alone they're equal and I do like Ford much better at guard (Taylor would likely be better at guard better too if we're being honest) so I'm not really going to knock taking Taylor over him. I do think the red flags for Taylor would have made Ford a slightly better pick. But not taking Risner was the real oopsie.
