I don't see how missing this mini camp will help him get a contract. Training camp in July may increase pressure to work out a deal but this no pad three days will not push the team to pursue contract negotiations. If anything it will piss off Tom. My personal opinion is showing up would have been a much better option to show the team his respect for the organization. Maybe I am wrong but missing these three days is counterproductive. If a contract was not finished for training camp then a hold out may force the team to the table.
