If anything it will piss off Tom. My personal opinion is showing up would have been a much better option to show the team his respect for the organization. Maybe I am wrong but missing these three days is counterproductive. If a contract was not finished for training camp then a hold out may force the team to the table.

Depends on how you want to look at it. After LeVeon Bell had his way last year and after what happened to Earl Thomas with that leg injury in Seattle? I can see why players have a few crucial points about getting paid NOW instead of waiting until LATER when you never know what might happen during practice or during a live game.

I honestly wouldn't mind them getting this deal done ASAP. Because ultimately each year we keep seeing players getting paid more and more money and you start seeing "so-so" guys getting hefty pay increases when their production looks "so-so" on paper next to our guy. Need to try and stay ahead of the market at that position while we can.
I would love to see a deal done, no one can say yan does not deserve more money the player is way underpaid. Somehow the league and payers union need to get these contracts under control, its destroying team's ability to keep good players and in my opinion,  going to affect the quality of play. Looking at our team how do you keep Yan, Calais, Ramsey, Jack, Talvin, Darius under the cap, I don't think one player is worth 30 mil a year and that's where it's headed. If the NFL is making that much revenue then they need to increase the cap so teams can keep their players.
