This is the second time recently this has happened, the other was ten men who went into a North Face store and got out with about $30k worth of merchandise. Very coordinated attack according to authorities. Story

What the heck is wrong with people? The first story it looked like those folks were more interested in being jerks and destroying property. The second incident was definitely one that would be profitable to the thieves. I will never understand this mentality.

I saw that North Face Store video. It's disgusting. They all looked like kids at best. And they didn't even bother hiding their faces. Doesn't surprise me anymore. A few years ago it was the Knock Out game. Hopefully retailers start tightening up security by hiring actual guards.

There's a Sunglass hut in town that literally gets robbed once or twice a month if not more that I am aware of since the beginning of this year. A thief will bounce in, grab a pair or two of sunglasses and bolt out the door. They've yet to be caught. A pair of sunglasses in there runs anywhere between $150.00 - $400.00 on average and they pretty much pay their employees minimum wage and never give them a full forty hours a week to work.

They can afford a security guard to stand there for $40,000+ per year to help ward off grab and dash thieves.

As soon as one of their employees gets punched, shoved down or injured on the job during a robbery I hope they get the living pissed sued out of them for refusing to do anything about it. Most of their employees are women. If you have a consistent problem. You address it. You don't just allow it to fester and fester and fester. That's why they keep coming back off and on.
