But I don't want to derail this thread with that topic. Defensive end Adham Talaat learned the hard way it is important to consider more than just the football coach when picking a school. The UMass coach was fired shortly after he arrived and he felt like the school was a bad fit for him, so he transferred. His story makes me think some players put too much emphasis on liking the coach of a football team when they choose colleges. They go to school primarily for education, not to keep playing 3-5 more years. |
