IF Teddy Bridgewater has already been picked, I think the Jags should trade back out of the top 10.  But they should NOT postpone getting a QB in the draft.  As of this minute this day, I cannot see spending the 3rd overall pick in the draft for Manziel or Bortles.  I think there are some interesting prospects this year that can be had for much less than the 3rd overall pick in the draft.   Derek Carr, Jimmy Garropolo, for instance.   And who knows, if we trade back to #8, Manziel or Bortles might still be there.  

 

In fact, here are the picks I would spend on these quarterbacks:

 

Bridgewater:   # 1

Manziel:  # 9

Bortles: # 10

Carr: # 15

Garropolo: # 35

 

That's the value I would put on these guys as of right now. 

 

I've said this before but it bears repeating.   NONE of the final four teams in the playoffs used a first round pick to acquire their quarterback.   So that should tell us that it can be done without having to have a really high pick to do it with. 

 

And I'd add, I'm not saying they even CAN trade down.  Sometimes, it just doesn't work out and they have to spend the pick they have on a player.
