Quote:Because the last trade you move up in 2 rounds and you still get one of the top QBs who IMO are all pretty close, the top WR, or the top pass rushers outside of Clowney are still on the board.  Now at 10 Watkins will be gone, Bortles will go to Min., and Barr and Mack will most likely be gone for a 3rd round pick.  eh

I'd presume that JungleCat has no interest in those players.  Those players being gone are probably why I wouldn't like for Caldwell to do it.  But the trade is mostly fair.  I don't think moving up a couple of picks in the later rounds are worth moving back in the 1st round.  1st rounders are worth more than 2nd and 3rd rounders (combined.)  JMO.  The trade seemed to me like it was an offer to ensure that the trade back happened, because Oakland gave up nothing.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
