Henne could be a cheap (hopefully) backup who knows the system. I wouldn't be upset to see him back as long as we have legit starter.
Imagine we take a QB in the draft, we're 8-4 and heading to the playoffs, then the QB goes down. Who do you want stepping in? Gabbert who can't get past the 50, Stanzi and Scott with no NFL experience behind them or Henne who has shown he can work with sub-standard talent and start? Or do you draft a late round rookie when we have too many needs on the team already? |
