Doug just put on a clinic of what it’s like to be carried past an 0-3 team

Hell the other two it took us three quarters to score 6. Two and a half games out of  four where we are averaging less than three points per quarter.

Is our scoring offense so anemic that it needs 10 and a half minutes to score from behind on a single drive? Is JDR back at the helm? Run run pass from the very first drive to the series that the Minchews magic TD heard round the world. He managed to overcome both the opponents and  the cursed predictable ultra conservative mediocre scheme on offense. Carrying this HC!

We let 10 3rd downs go unconverted? We only converted four? We were two for six in the red zone? We need to flip the script, we open up the half with four three and outs, granted one was a four and out, but is there a difference in this run run pass on obvious 3rd down offense? A tell tell sign of poor coaching are all the stupid false start penalties by the offensive line, the last unit that ought to be having issues with an Oline coach at the HC position.

Given the 250+ yards rushing, I think it’s safe to say the Oline is not the issue. What line can withstand such a predictable mediocre scheme? This team was in the AFC championship game last year!  It has tremendous talent, talent whose potential is being stunted by this cowardly style approach? Is it a higher percentage play to throw it out of your end zone on first or third.

You have your QB crawling on his knees the first play of the game? Who defers at mile high? Defense needs a couple drives to adjust, the offense has an opportunity to get the momentum rolling in our favor if we but took an aggressive faith building approach. It’s as if the HC is sending the signal that he is not bought in to the Minshew legend, putting the breaks on an offenses potential with an antiquated scheme.

It disgusts me. Beyond belief to see this team being led by a knuckle head.

Ha, the trolling is confirmed.  That 10 and a half minute drive was the best thing that happened in the game, given the spotty defensive play by the Jags D on Sunday.  Had they come down the field and scored in way less time, you give the ball back to Flacco and co and risk setting up a shoot out.  Jags D was not up to the task at the point.  It could have easily gone away from them.  That drive protected our D, demoralized their D, deflated their fans and curbed their enthusiasm to fuel what looked to be a potential blow out, and furnished our O with much needed confidence that the game was now ON.  Nobody complains about a lengthy clock-consuming, defensive-draining, run-centric, successful 3rd down conversions drive...that ended up with a jaw dropping TD.

Only the people that think that a run oriented offense is "obsolete" in "today's NFL".  Kids like bch seem to think that you have to pass deep and often in order to be successful.  It's a product of two things.

1.  People that watch college football that think it translates over to the NFL.

2.  Kids "living in their parent's basement" that play Madden all day.

Me personally, give me 10 minute drives by the offense all game long, especially when playing a rookie QB and against a decent offense and a good defense.

The Broncos aren't as bad as their record.  They are a very good team.  There isn't a whole lot of difference at this point of the season between a 4-0 team and a 0-4 team.  These are the best players in the world playing at the highest level.

This next week our team faces a team that is also 2-2.  They lost to the Rams by a field goal, lost to the Bucs by 4 points, beat the Cardinals and the Texans (who we lost to).  The game isn't exactly going to be a "give me" even with their starting QB out of the game.  Many people might have thought that regarding our team when facing a nemesis that always seems to "have our number" and a desperate team on the road with us starting a rookie 6th round pick at QB.

The term "any given Sunday" really does mean something.  Nobody predicted that the Browns would beat the Ravens by 2 scores.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.
