Hell the other two it took us three quarters to score 6. Two and a half games out of four where we are averaging less than three points per quarter. Only the people that think that a run oriented offense is "obsolete" in "today's NFL". Kids like bch seem to think that you have to pass deep and often in order to be successful. It's a product of two things. 1. People that watch college football that think it translates over to the NFL. 2. Kids "living in their parent's basement" that play Madden all day. Me personally, give me 10 minute drives by the offense all game long, especially when playing a rookie QB and against a decent offense and a good defense. The Broncos aren't as bad as their record. They are a very good team. There isn't a whole lot of difference at this point of the season between a 4-0 team and a 0-4 team. These are the best players in the world playing at the highest level. This next week our team faces a team that is also 2-2. They lost to the Rams by a field goal, lost to the Bucs by 4 points, beat the Cardinals and the Texans (who we lost to). The game isn't exactly going to be a "give me" even with their starting QB out of the game. Many people might have thought that regarding our team when facing a nemesis that always seems to "have our number" and a desperate team on the road with us starting a rookie 6th round pick at QB. The term "any given Sunday" really does mean something. Nobody predicted that the Browns would beat the Ravens by 2 scores. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. |
