Yes, it was huge.

One of the concerns I had about Minshew coming out of Wazzu was that offense.  With a pass happy offense like that, there is always a concern that it inflated Minshew's numbers.

While that may be true, perhaps it had its benefits as well.

Maybe somehow it gave him a better understanding of passing fundamentals, protections, pocket presence, coverages, how to throw particular passes, etc.

Granted, he would have to translate those skills to this offense, but he seems so advanced for his age and experience. 

He's had more good moments and games (and proportionally fewer bad moments) in these first four than Gabbert had his entire career here, and certainly fewer bad moments than Bortles had in his first four games (though in fairness to BB5, Minshew has a much better team around him than BB5).
