Then why spend a 3rd rounder on a LB? Wouldn't make sense at all. You can find depth for LB in UDFA, when you draft a LB in the 3rd round you are expecting an immediate impact starter. 

Question isn't directed at you, just a general outloud question as to if they do start Ryan and move Jack.

Telvin walked away and Ryan had the setback. 

They didn't have a choice!  They needed a starter very badly and felt this kid could pull it off. They also signed 4 street free agents to add insurance. They were scrambling to fix it the best they could once they realized Telvin had lost his marbles. A third for a starting will isn't a bad deal.
