Agreed. I just look at the next draft and other than Albert Okwuegbunam of Missouri, there isn't much to pick from in the next draft class. There is a steep drop off after him, unless you wanna spend a 2nd round pick on a guy like Jacob Breeland of Oregon, who has tremendous upside, but just tore his ACL and may be out for much of 2020. As far as free agency, other than Hooper, our best shot might be Chargers TE Hunter Henry. He has loads of talent, but his NFL career has been riddled with injuries.

That is my general impression as well.  That is part of what is driving me to consider making a move at that position.

That said, I'm not sure I would give up more than a 3rd for Hooper.  Henry is good, but you are right about the injuries.  As with Hooper, I'm not too keen on paying a premium for him.

Now if we wound up trading back with our second first round pick and picked up an extra pick or two in the next draft...maybe.

But I think Howard is the one guy I'd make a move for, and at this point, he's the one guy I'd offer more than a 3rd round pick for.
