Ravens inquired about trading for Yannick Ngakoue?

I would take a first and Mark Andrews from the Ravens.
Yan is special, but if we're being honest with or without Foles at this point, we're not a SB team. So this season is about feeling good finishing 8-8, 9-7 at best.
Another first for 2020 goes a long way and Mark Andrews at TE would give us a solid young duo at TE for a long time.
Yan still needs to get paid and we could be in for the tag dance this off season.

We have Josh Allen who gets better every week and Bryan is finally starting to come along as well as Smoot.
There are a couple pass rushers, #1 CBs, and OL guys we could be getting with all this first round ammo.

Probably not a popular opinion, but that's my take on it. A first plus (established TE or another high round pick: round 2 2020 or another 1st from 2021) and I'd probably pull the trigger.

*ahem*

Yes they are.

Football is a game.
The field is the board.
The coaches (and front office) are the players of the chess game.

And you aren't trading them "willy nilly" if you gain more than you lose (multiple picks vs a guy who may or may not be here in 2 seasons)
He still can flat out reject any contract offered. And then we're doing the tag dance, and perhaps losing him later anyway.

Before I get flamed, I love Yannick, have defended him against those who say he is over rated or doesn't get home enough or whatever BS they got.
He's good. But if you get multiple picks or multiple building blocks for a better tomorrow, you at least consider it.

I would not trade him for a first alone.
I would not trade him for 2 2nds and a 4th or some sillyness.

But a first plus (or anything close to the Ramsey deal)
done.
