You don't know that. Many 5th rounders last less than 3 seasons or are PS fodder for their careers.
Using late round picks to try and salvage a season isn't a bad move. (The bad move was not holding on to Hyde after using said capital)
And with the QB room, Minshew could have stunk it up and been 0-4 in his first 4 starts and we'd want to have another option this year.

“Drastically change our roster for the better”. Hmm, don’t recall saying that. If we were 0-4 in Minshews starts I’d still rather have the pick than Dobbs. As a pattern, I don’t want to give up draft capital, whatever it may be, if it isn’t getting us closer to the ultimate goal of winning a super bowl. A third string QB isn’t. It reeks of a front office doing whatever it takes to stay borderline competitive to save their jobs. Same with the Hyde trade. As a fan, my expectations are higher. Just my opinion, don’t really care if you don’t agree or if I’m “very alone”. I’m not looking for some majority vote just stating my opinion.  This front office has made good decisions and bad ones. I think this was a bad one.
