Pretending to know how Foles will perform in this offense is speculation not based in reality. I need to see it to know it personally. 

To the second bolded, yes, Minshew absolutely CAN develop from the sidelines. It's a tried and true method for young QB development. The kid has created some bad habits over the past two weeks and if those continue then the sideline may be the best place for him to sort it out. 

Regardless - Minshew's play vs the jets and tinhorns gives him a chance to keep the reins.  If he plays like he has the past two weeks, I think he probably returns to the bench and his backup role in week 11. I think it's great that we have the luxury of another good QB to put out there while the rookie refocuses his game  - if that's how it plays out.

One down, one to go for Minshew to keep the job.
