The future of MJD based on local media speculation

I posted a couple months ago that the Jags should offer him a 2 year deal worth around 3.5 mil a year with the chance to make another mil or so in bonuses if he performs and stays healthy. But - I stated it was likely someone would offer him more than that.
I was told I was an idiot by a couple of posters of course. Well - If I'm an idiot - DiRocco is too. http://espn.go.com/blog/jacksonville-jag...ay-be-gone Quote: Quote:The Jaguars want Jones-Drew back but on their terms, which likely is a two-year deal with incentives that could be worth up to $5 million per year. Jones-Drew said it's about the money, and the Jaguars, despite having roughly $54 million in cap space in 2014, aren't going to be willing to go higher. Jones-Drew tried a hardline approach with the Jaguars once, holding out all of training camp in 2012 and most of the preseason in an effort to get a new contract, and it didn't work. |
