MOCK 5.0

1ST ROUND

1. Houston Texans (2-14) - Blake Bortles QB

I am going with the popular opinion here. It will either be Clowney or Bortles. I hope this hype train continues till the draft. We can only hope Bortles has a great combine. The Texans have a bigger need for QB than pass rusher. Although Clowney would be the safer pick, I think the addition of O’Brian will have them select the 6’5’’ QB. I just see Bortles as a Houston Texan versus Clowney or Bridgewater. Its easy for me to conceptualize Bortles wearing one of those awful Texan uniforms even though he wore white in college and Teddy wore Red.

2. Atlanta Falcons
 (Skins 3-13) -Jadeveon Clowney DE

I have a feeling no team will buy into what the Rams are selling. I don't think a team would be willing to part with a lot of picks to draft anyone but Clowney. Especially teams with new regimes. Teams with new regimes might feel reserved in making a big splash in the first year. However, Dimitroff see’s Clowney still on the board and decides to part with either a 3rd and 5th or a 2nd for Clowney. Apparently Snead, Dimitroff and Caldwell are all buds, so I can see the Jaguars with the 2nd Pick or the Falcons.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-12) - Teddy Bridgewater QB

The Jags get their QB of the future. Im not sure whats with the recent knocks on Teddy. He has everything you want in a QB. We will get Matt Ryan-like production out of Teddy in his first year. But, Teddy will blossom into his own QB as he grows with the franchise. The issue isn’t where you select your franchise QB, but how. Too many teams try to build teams around Quarterbacks instead of simply building a team. The Patriots, Steelers, Seahawks, 49ers did the latter. The Broncos, Lions, Texans did the former. I can’t wait to see Teddy in teal.

If the selection is not Teddy, I definitely expect us to trade down with the Vikings or Raiders. If this is the case I believe Garrappolo will be our QB.

4. Cleveland Browns (4-12) - Johnny Manziel QB

I don't think just because Shanahan is their new OC means that they will ultimately trade for Cousins. Lombardi will draft Manziel.

5. Oakland Raiders (4-12) - Khalil Mack OLB

I think they will target Vick and Sanchez in the offseason.

<p style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Helvetica;font-size:13px;">

<p style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Helvetica;font-size:13px;">6. St. Louis Rams
 (4-12) - Jake Matthews OT

<p style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Helvetica;font-size:13px;">They get the player the wanted all along.

7. Tampa Bay Buccs (4-12) - Greg Robinson OT

Another team I could see targeting Vick and Sanchez.

8. Minnesota Vikings (5-10-1) - Anthony Barr OLB

Another team I could see targeting Vick. They have no business taking a chance on Carr like they did just 3 years ago with Ponder.

9.  Buffalo Bills (6-10) - Sammy Watkins WR

10. Detroit Lions (6-10) -  Taylor Lewan OT

11. Tennesse Titans - Zach Martin OT

12. New York Giants - C.J. Mosley ILB

13. St. Louis Rams - Mike Evans WR
