I think the contract model D-Rock put in his article is pretty much what I would see as an acceptable extension.  But, his point about MJD not looking like the same back this year means I'd load that thing up heavily with incentives so he's not getting paid to cheer the team on from the sideline.

 

In the end, I think some team will walk in and overspend for his services, and that's fine.  This team knows what his worth is to them, and they aren't going to overstep that to keep him around.
