Therein lies the rub, and what makes all of this so very fascinating. Yes, teams with elite QB's have a better shot than teams that don't, but not many teams have elite QB's. In my opinion, the reason for this is because it's really, really, really hard to find one. I'm not proposing that teams should stop trying to find them or to settle for not having one, but you must have a plan of action for when you don't have one since odds are, you probably won't.

While you're looking for that elite guy, what do you do? If the elite guy that you acquired turns out to not be elite, how do you overcome that?

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
