I see no logical connection. If Coughlin wanted Foles to still be in there, he could just fire Marrone now and name Foles the starter going forward.

If anything, it shows Marrone is paying for his decision to bench Minshew and losing a shot at the playoffs.

Coughlin couldn't fire Marrone now without Shad signing off on it , especially when Coughlin is likely to be let go too.

It wont matter who the HC is, if Coughlin is still here this ship is just going to keep going deeper and deeper underwater.

There's no reason to conclude this much. In 2017, Coughlin pulled the team out from being deep underwater and they made it all the way to the AFCC. I don't think he's problem at all, and moreover, I don't see Khan parting with him.

Coughlin have the largest contract in team history to a QB who's one of the worst in the league. He also passed up MVP candidates at QB for a RB when we badly needed a QB.
