Nick Foles will probably be here in 2020

he wouldn't be on the roster, but the cap is impacted just like a release. you can have pre/post-June1 designations, and any amortized bonus accelerates to the next year's cap. Teams can pursue reimbursement of prorated bonus to cancel the cap hit.

We would still retain his rights until the accrued years (on-field) elapse, so he couldn't pull any funny business like retire this year, sign with the Iggles next year. He would still have to play 3 more seasons to become free agent.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
