Perhaps... they knew Foles wasn't the answer. Perhaps they never wanted to make the switch and knew at some point, they'd have to switch back?

More evidence that the front office is meddling.

TC has GOT to go!

It couldn't possibly be because the coaching staff saw the potential that Minshew has and wanted to continue his development.

Nah... the front office is clearly meddling (sarcasm).

You don't use in-season practice time to develop rookies. Especially if your job is essentially on the line to win and win now.
But OK.

Bwahahaha

So Marrone switches to Foles "because he gives them the best chance to win" and then 3 weeks later switches back to Minshew "So they can continue to develop him."?

I know you love to look at things as very black or white but there is a ton of grey in this world. If they wanted to continue his development, then they should have never started Foles in the first place.
Some people just don't like to be wrong.

Or he loves him some Coughlin...

Or both.

Coughlin sucks. And he made our team worse more than better since he got here.
2017 was clearly an anomaly based on a defense playing above its head against a weak schedule in a division with all sorts of injuries and issues to its teams (and their QBs)

Bortles extension, Fournette top 5, Taven Bryan.
Ramsey, Yan, Telvin.
FOLES.
Dude is a parasite.

But yeah... he obviously is just letting Marrone do his thing and wouldn't force him to play the guy he over paid to come here at all
(I guess I have to tell you it's sarcasm, since... that's a thing?)
