I'm not here to absolve Marrone from anything. The cleaning of the whole house needs to happen.
I'm just sick of people making excuses or excusing Tom Coughlin of fault. He was brought in to fix the front office situation, he did not. He was brought in to bring a sort of discipline to the team. He has not. He's screwed the team up more than fixed it. He's directly responsible for the hiring of Marrone as HC. He's tied to the Bortles debacle, the Foles debacle, Fournette top 5, the alienating of players.

The project is over, imo.

Who is absolving him of fault? They can share the blame. It still doesn’t change how I’d handle it. Shad is the only person I would’ve listened to had he told me to throw Foles in the starting line up. I’m not saying that he shouldn’t ever listen to his boss, but when the boss is making a stupid decision, make your own. I do it all the time. Besides, I’d argue that Marrone has ultimate say who is playing during game day, and it wouldn’t be stepping outside of his responsibilities to say no to anyone but Shad.
