I'm not a Coughlin guy at this point, and am finding myself on the fence about Caldwell with everything that's been coming out... But this whole Caldwell "would have traded back to try to get one of 2 of the best players drafted" reeks of the months of "If Gene Smith had full authority, he wouldn't have made any of the bad picks Shack made and would have drafted HOF players every single year" hype we were fed after Shack was pushed out. I can believe CMC, but like you, I'm a little skeptical of taking Mahomes with Blake still where he was. Though Blake was coming off a not-great season, so maybe Caldwell saw the writing on the wall?

Ultimately though, who really knows what's going on inside that building? I'm not even sure I trust this Dilla guy entirely; hasn't his only real big break been the Ramsey stuff? If so, he might be more "Ramsey's camp" than "Jaguars insider," which would make this whole take of his come off as basically spilled milk, or at least to me.
