Don't be surprised if Minshew is traded in off-season instead of Nick Foles

There's no rush to trade him. He's already proven to be a low risk, high reward draft pick from this year's class. He's under contract for a low hit against our cap.

I don't care if this team trades up to the Numero Uno selection in the 2020 draft for Joe Burrow. Which, again, also seems highly unlikely that any team would be willing to let this kid escape from their possession such as the Bengals or Dolphins. But, in the off chance they do pull off some kind of QB selection between Burrow & Tagovailoa? That's fine.

It just means you'll have a healthy QB competition going into next summer during training camp with some pretty staggering possibilities going into the regular season. Could Minshew be traded down the road? Certainly. But there's no reason to trade him that quickly for a vast number of reasons. Let him ride the pine like Jimmy Garoppolo did in New England for awhile and flip him for a 1st or 2nd RD pick in due time.

They won't carry 3 QBs and they can't be rid of Foles, so I just don't think they go QB in the draft next year. It's a draft to get big men in the trenches, the specialists are more than adequate with them and outright worthless without them.
