The Jags have an owner that is often too patient with GM's/HC than the other way around (as opposed to Cleveland and Washington). He also doesn't have to be the smartest guy in room (as opposed to Dallas).

While there is not a lot of talent on the roster, the talent there is very young (as opposed to Atlanta).

A lot of the salary dead weight can be off the books this off season, and nearly all of it within 2 years (as opposed to Atlanta).

No, they don't have a definite franchise QB, but Minshew may be the best marketable not-sure-if-franchise young QB in the league who could work as a short-term fill in. Plus because he was a 6th round pick, there can be a shorter leash to scrap him and draft a new QB (as opposed to Cleveland or Giants).

Only for sure better situation is probably Carolina, but mainly because they have a great player and more proven pieces already in place rather than draft capital.
