Khan Fires Coughlin

Tom is a good man. He’s done a lot for this community with his charitable foundation here and in New York. My family members once crossed paths with him at the airport and he was kind and friendly and allowed them to take pictures with him.
That being said, I believe that his Type A personality no longer works in today’s NFL. Players today don’t respond positively to a militaristic authority figure like they did in the days of Vince Lombardi. An organization can have too many levels of reporting structure, and I think Shad Khan realizes that now. I’m sure Marrone was not comfortable having TC constantly looking over his shoulder, questioning his decisions, etc.A flatter management configuration would improve things dramatically here. I hope that comes to fruition. |
