I keep kicking it around. But I really like the idea of bringing in a pair of like minded personnel from one franchise.

Paton and Stefanski with the Vikings.
Borgonzi and Bieniemy with the Chiefs.

Those are my top two pairs to target starting on Black Monday. Depending on how these teams perform in the play off's would also be a determining factor.

Another few candidates to consider. Rick Smith, formerly of the tinhorns. I like him. I think he could help us out within three to four years.

Another name. And it's coming way out of left field but I would call him and challenge him to come here. Ozzie Newsome. I know. . . Highly unlikely you'll pry him from Baltimore.

BUT. . . Technically he's NOT the General Manager anymore in Baltimore. He stepped down and Eric DeCosta took over last year in 2018. He was kind of in a consultant or advisor type role.

I know he's up there in age. But I would beg him to come down here if I were Khan. I would tell him he's in charge from top down and just give him three years. That's it. Just ask him for three years so he can use these draft picks to potentially fix this team.

Let him pick his coaching staff. Let him try and get this team into a good position to succeed. And then maybe he can pass it down to another young and promising scout that he likes. But that's all I can think of.
