I agree to a point.  I think overall his drafting has been pretty solid.  I think fans have unrealistic expectations of what constitutes a good draft.  Look at the Niners, Packers, Seahawks, etc... other good teams.  A lot of them dont have drafts that are noticeably better, or better at all, than ours over the last 5 or 6 years.  Most teams are lucky if they get two really productive players and a couple serviceable role players in a draft.  But not his defense, he has had the luxury of a lot of top 10 picks so his drafting should be better than average.

At the end of the day, fair or not, as a GM you often get graded on the QB and nothing else.  And often times you dont get more than one chance.  Caldwell missed on his.
