I think that's unfair.
Firstly, no one is saying Shad Khan is putting the "fate of the franchise" in his hands.
Secondly, as for "trust fund kid," you don't know the guy, and we shouldn't hold against him the fact that his father has been successful in business.
Thirdly, "doesn't know bleep about football...," that could actually be a good thing.  TC knew everything about football and just totally screwed the whole thing up.  If Tony goes with the attitude that he doesn't know as much about football as the head coach or the general manager, then maybe he won't meddle with everyone and everything like TC did.  Besides, I'm sure Tony will get along with the players a lot better than TC did.

In my opinion, TC was the absolute wrong guy for the position of EVP of Football Operations.  Putting him in that job meant we had 3 guys trying to do 2 jobs.  Too many cooks in the kitchen.  The EVP of Football Ops should position himself job-wise closer to the owner than to the GM or the HC.  He should be the owner's assistant, not the overseer of the GM and the HC.  I think Tony would be perfect for that job, because he's the owner's son.

Let's face it, a team is only as good as its owner.  So far, Shad Khan, well...  Maybe Tony Khan can be better at some of the ownership functions than his father.  Especially with Shad Khan being busy traveling the world selling bumpers.

And lastly, that tweet by Albert Breer is 100% speculation.  "Sources tell me..."  "...more involved..."  It's just throwing stuff against the wall so he can tweet something.  What did Tony Khan do to deserve the personal attacks in this thread?  Nothing.
