Let's be real, Khan hasn't been a bad owner except being a bit too patient. He's spent money and made moves to put football people in charge and then left them alone. We could do a lot worse.
All the more reason he says "Fine. My son will do it" since those options have failed him.

What other role would Khan Jr. have here? Tom's job? I don't know. Just cynical at this point.
