Sure you can build a good enough team without one but the result is often a flash in the pan kinda team.  If you want to sustain a winning culture the QB is the #1 priority above all.

Dynasty is subjective and extremely rare. Aaron Rodgers is great but the Packers aren't a dynasty, same with Peyton, Brees, Rothlisberger, Wilson...heck the best other 10 QBs of this era aren't dynasty QBs. Even the last generation had a couple guys (Montana, Aikman) who were truly great dynastic QBs whose success was as much about the great players around them as their own considerable skills. Does anyone really credit Terry Bradshaw for the Steelers dynasty? Nah, QBs (aside from what Brady has accomplished with mostly role players), win or lose based on the tools around them in addition to their own abilities. It's both, do you think this team is the QB away? Isn't that the reason why we signed Foles, because he has done what we think needs to be done? Or did he do them because he was on a stacked team with great coaching?
