Dollar stores, and gas stations sell cigarettes right????  :teehee:  It's not the end of the world if CVS completely revise their retail model. Customers can go elsewhere for their cigs and unhealthy snacks.

 

As I said earlier in this thread, I commend CVS for making the move and will be curious to see if Walgreens follow suit ,but to those people shedding tears about their profit margins being cut after the removal of their cigarettes, the corporate team knew the risk already going in and probably already had a plan in place ie the implematation of the minute clinics.
The dollar stores and gas stations having cigarettes has absolutely nothing to do with CVS, none at all. CVS is not revising their business model based on them.

 

No one on this thread has shed tears about CVS losing money, they pointed out that the decision to make was probably not easy due to that. In the end, as CVS has stated, it was the right move based on where they wanted to go.
