Leash is short. Especially after Khan has publicly backed them two years in a row.

If they get off to a 1 - 5 start or winless start by week 7 there's a good chance Khan goes Dan Synder and fires him extremely early.

He would have no choice. It's going to be a hard sell at the ticket booth next year. Winning cures all of course. But if they don't win early and often?

That sounds like the sane thing to do, but clearly he's not operating the way any of us would consider wise.

In fact I don't even see the point of bringing them back for one more shot unless it's with the understanding that there isn't enough talent and the cap is a problem that will necessitate a step back before forward momentum can be established again. With that being understood I don't see how this can mean anything else other than at least a couple more years of Caldwell and Marrone, with next year likely being horrifyingly bad.
