I thought there were a few interesting takeaways from that presser.

There was a common refrain about a streamlined system with DC/DM and Shad Khan all being in direct communication, which obviously excludes and implicates Coughlin. It also leaves Marrone/Caldwell with no scapegoat if they don't find a way to right the ship in 2020. They have to show marked improvement or lose their jobs.

There were the jokes about the fines - and Marrone and DC's laughter/lightness also implicate Coughlin in the whole NFLPA flap.

There was the references from each of them about this "plan" for fixing things - and while we don't know what that is - it tells us changes are coming at least.

I can't yet be optimistic about this regime continuing with some revamping, but I gleaned a few things from that presser.

Hearing that Marrone and Caldwell will work together to build the roster is a surprising. I find it so odd that Marrone had zero say in the players that were acquired.
