Wow, this is totally ignorant. You want to cherry pick 2 instances in the last 24 years where the top pick was used on Peyton Manning and Troy Aikman. Why did you ignore the:

'89 Colts who took Jeff George

'99 Browns who took Tim Couch

'01 Houston who took David Carr

'03 Cincy who took Carson Palmer

'04 49'ers who took Alex Smith

'06 Raiders who took Jamarcus Russell

'08 Lions who took Matt Stafford

'10 Panthers who took Cam Newton

Why did you ignore those? Where did those #1 picks take their losing attitude teams? Do you see any Super Bowls there? If you're betting your house on the #1 pick I'd say your odds are not that great to find the savior and in doing so requires a losing mentality in your locker room you are reaping exactly what you sow. Losers.
