Maybe he legit wants out. Wouldn't be a shocker, but his actual comments during interviews in-season go against that and I really do believe that "money talks" in this situation. The right offer could ground his rambling spirit quickly.

What kind of contract do you think the team should offer?
I don't really care if he's overpaid - but I'd start by offering: 
20 mil per year  -- 65% guaranteed  --  incentives that could push his per year # to 23 million if he puts up elite numbers.
