Jaguar's Forum Annual Participatory Mock Draft Lounge!

Quote:Did I steal your pick? :thumbsup:No. You must have missed the Senior Bowl. http://www.vavel.com/en-us/nfl/323229-20...recap.html The next two prospects are obviously the guys who struggled badly at the senior bowl practices and ended up doing a world of harm to their draft stock. This is not to say that they’ve destroyed their draft stock or that they’ll never become a quality NFL player, but for now, they’re dropping like a stone. The first one is Cyril Richardson, O-Lineman from Baylor. First off, he showed up about 20 lbs heavier than his standard 325 lbs playing weight. This is a major red flag for NFL teams. It means he spent his time from the Bowl game to the Senior Bowl working out at a BBQ buffet. This columnist thinks that the best way to look at these all-star games is to look at them as a job interview, and Richardson showed up at his first interview wearing a ripped up T-shirt that reads “who fearted?” Compounding this for Richardson is that he was embarrassed left and right in the individual and team drills. For a guy who showed up 20 lbs overweight, he showed a surprising lack of power and strength. His footwork looked very bad (he puts his feet too close together) and just looked like a project. Richardson initially projected out as a 20-50 pick, but now he’s probably a 3rd day guy. Especially with the rise of guys like Zach Martin (whom numerous D-Linemen said was the toughest guy they faced during the season), of Notre Dame, and Jack Mewhort, of Ohio State. Something that also kept getting mentioned by the scouts and that could clearly be seen on the tape is that Richardson struggles badly facing anyone remotely quick. He just can’t move well in space.
