The first part of hypothetical #1 shines a big light on our situation - we have too many holes but we also have a good amount of draft capital to address these holes.

As for hypothetical #2, I would take Simmons in a heartbeat and not look back.

But under the hypothetical, you'd still end up with two first round picks-the #2 overall and the one you wound up getting for Yan.
