Nothing new in the article, but I think the whole “player ego thing” is over blown. A somewhat decent HC who could lead would fix that stuff, but that wasn’t mentioned what so ever. Article was a bit of an excuse for Marrone. No mention of him absolutely being the sole reason we lost the AFCCG, just a mention of a player going rouge on 3rd and long play. Marrone laid this team down with 2 minutes to go in the first half and the entire 2nd half. He tried to “hold on” to a win. A complete loser mentality, and this team paid for that.

Why did a player did a player go rouge? Because coaching was letting the team down, again. Does that allow players to go rouge? Hell no, they should all stick with the trash play no matter what, but imo it’s what lead to players doing it.

“Attitude reflects leadership”- from that one football movie lol, is true. This team has zero leadership from the top, and we lost that AFCCG because of Marrones decisions. Not a Myles Jack non called fumble recovery. Not a player going rogue on a third and long.
