I would say they should hopefully focus the draft towards the offense and then try to patch up the defense to the best of their abilities during free agency.

The more and more I look at the talent available in round one there's a feeling that I get that we'll unfortunately NOT be in a position to land one of the top three players on defense. I think Simmons, Brown & Okudah are all off the board before we pick at No. 9.

With that said I think they stand to gain one of the top three OT's or arguably the best WR on their draft board if they feel like the value matches up with the pick and need on the roster.

That 20th pick is also similar to me where, again, you'll have this weird window where the next best defenders should come off the board before we pick at No. 20. So we'll more than likely miss out on guys like Kinlaw, Espenesa & McKinney. I am not comfortable with Fulton nor Henderson at CB there. And I don't think an ILB is worth that high of a pick this year. I understand people are high on Murray and Queen at the moment but I am a bit hesitant to pull the trigger on those guys that early.

I would rather see that 20th pick invested on the other position of offense that we missed out on with the 9th pick. If they go WR first. Go OT second. Or vise versa.

I really would like to see Wirfs or Becton at this point with that 9th overall pick to address the line a bit for Minshew's sake. And then I would like to see them pick up one of those WR's from Alabama or maybe Jefferson out of LSU. That's my ideal scenario on opening night. Still need to see what they're going to do with Ngakoue as well. A lot of work can get done in this draft.

When you look at teams being fixed or "dynasties" being built it's often started with "So, I had ALL of these draft picks right. . . ".

Except Cleveland. Cleveland [BLEEP] everything up.
