Nowadays, we're all scarred and cynical from decades of ineptitude, but back then, we were innocent newbies, so we had no reservations about how we felt at the time.  God himself had come down and saved us.  There was no other explanation.

I've said it before...  But I was there and I never saw it live.  I had my head buried in my hands muttering numerous bad words to myself when he missed.

I remember it looked like it was good, but one section of fans in the North end zone jumped up yelling, and my split second thought was, wow, I didn't realize there was a section of Falcon fans there, but then the whole stadium erupted and the refs signaled no good.  That was really intense.
