I think the top four defenders (Young, Okudah, Simmons & Brown) will be off the board and that gives them their clear answer. I think with that 9th pick and 20th pick they'll be leaning towards OT & WR. Realistically they stand to gain Wills Jr, Wirfs, Beckton or Thomas with that 9th pick if they choose so. Which IMO any of those four guys is an upgrade over the oft injured Cam Robinson.

Selecting an OT there gives you two starters as there's a good chance Robinson mauls Cann out of his job at RG. Bolstering the right side with Robinson and Taylor seems like a win-win for me. Adding one of these freakish athletes at LT is even better when you consider Minshew's tendency to dance and create. A LT with dancer's feet is his best friend all year in this case.

With that 20th pick I think they could land a solid WR. Between the Bama' boys, Jefferson at LSU and maybe Mims out of Baylor they'll be able to add an excellent compliment to Chark, Conley and Westbrook. Now, they could ALSO very well flip this scenario around and still come out relatively ahead.

They could PROBABLY land the best WR with the 9th overall pick there. Which may be better off. Between Jeudy and Lamb you're getting a mover and shaker on your offense right away. Coupled with the idea that they're not being tasked to take on No. 1 like WR roles and it's even better for our team. And with that 20th pick you could land a solid LT like Austin Jackson or Josh Jones which still gives you the outline above with Robinson Vs. Cann.

With 12 picks, and Ngakoue's contract situation also being on the table for moving up potentially? I could see them coming up to get a defender they like later on during opening night or very, very early on the 2nd day during the 2nd round kick off and 3rd round kick off. We see it every year. A player that we more than likely had a 1st RD grade on is going to slip to RD2 or slip to the bottom and they're going to throw some chips at other teams to get him.

Fine by me. I would guess it's for a CB in that trade situation. I would say it's more than likely going to be for that kid out of Clemson at CB or a solid D-3Tech like that other kid out of Nebraska that's been climbing up as of late.

It all depends on how the 1st 8 picks falls but I would still take Okudah/Simmons/Brown in that order if any of them are there at 9.

But I do like the idea of going Offense heavy and giving Minshew every chance to succeed.

I'd also be happy with Okudah, Simmons or Brown. I'd be shocked if the eventual pick is not Brown since Okudah to the Lions and Simmons to Carolina seems about 90 % likely to happen. If the Jags aren't that enamored with Brown, I could see them trading back a few spots and getting Kinlaw.
