I understand many people are getting sick, losing family or friends, losing income or even experiencing anxiety over this. My thoughts, prayers and heart goes out to all of those. We (generally speaking) take life and what we have for granted, I have been guilty of that at times. trying to get away from the “doom and gloom” and tI find something positive or uplifting.
Are you pleasantly surprised by the lack of traffic on you’re commute if you have one or to the store to get groceries? Glad to work from home and work in your undies (or naked) and save on gas? Whatever, as small or silly as it is, let’s hear it?
For me, we start every day at the gas station. I quit going inside to buy breakfast and whatever else catches my eye. So I save money there, and the pumps are almost empty at 7am. So, no trying to find a spot for 35 feet of truck and trailer. Also, since everyone is on lockdown, we see many people outside now. Usually it’s a ghost town. See the same jogger or someone walking the dog. That used to be a perk, we never saw people! Now that everyone is home, these subdivisions seem “lively”. I’ve got to say, it’s refreshing. I’m seeing many people outside jogging, walking, teaching kids to ride bikes, etc. the list goes on.
I’m seeing and witnessing things I’ve never seen in 13 years of running the same routes. Provided I don’t get blasted for starting a positive thread during these times, I’ve got much more to share.
Hopefully a lot of you are experiencing some “upside” to the lockdown as well. Let’s hear it. Maybe you’re drinking or smoking less, getting in more excercise and shedding a few.
Drinking the same, vaping more.
The local convenience plazas, liquor stores and restaurants owned by Indian and Mexican immigrants were ahead of everyone else in preparing for this. They were weeks ahead of others with plastic sheets and plexiglass shields at their check out counters, curb service filling phone orders and, thanks to a declaration by Gov. Lee, you can get a margarita with your Mexican take-out. Bless their hearts, they're making them strong, too.
Sounds like you need to order a few extra orders of nachos or something so you can get a few extra margaritas!!! What state are you in that allows you to drive off in essentially an open container?
Vaping and you’ve let it slip you like the electric lettuce. Maybe you’re vaping your weed, idk. I used to think rollerjag meant you were handicapped. I’m wondering if it’s just because your rolling joints. Lol. Stay safe man. Either way, doesn’t sound like you need this virus. Enjoy the margaritas and find some more silver linings!
