I think his 3rd round picks typically have been some of his best work.

2013-Dwayne Gratz-arguably the best pick of a bad class.  Yeah, we took him over Tyran Matthieu, but TM had some major marijuana issues at the time.  Also took him over LT Terron Armstead, but considering we took Joeckel in round 1, can see why they passed him up at the time.

2014-Linder-possibly our most consistent OL-one of the few draft picks to earn a second contract.  I can't see anyone taken below him in the third round being a better player than him.  Well worth his late third round pick.
2015-AJ Cann-Not exactly a fan favorite at this point, but a decent player who got a second contract.  I still want him replaced.  Nevertheless, looking back, I see only two players in that 3rd round I would take over him:  Tyler Lockett and Danielle Hunter
2016-Ngakoue-a great pick despite his current squabbling with the organization
2017-Smoot-finally started showing improvement last year.  We'll see how the scheme switch impacts his development.  Def considered by most of us to be a reach when made.
2018-Ronnie Harrison-our current starting S.  Considered a steal at the time.  Allegedly has some knucklehead in him.
2019-Josh Oliver-TBD


I'm not even going to get into TC's influence on the draft between 2017-2019

Does DC have a perfect record in the 3rd round?  No.

But I don't think he deserved that dig from ou, either.

I googled "who was number 56 at the 2020 Senior Bowl" and the answer I got was Nick Harris, C, Washington.  It does look like he has a big W on his helmet.

You're right, Steve, it was awful to watch. This guy is just going to clog the middle and the LB's/DE's are going to make plays. An excellent pick IMO.

I was crushed to see Josh Jones go right in front of us but they may have taken DH anyway.
