Look I'm normally pessimistic but this is just an awful draft class

I'm not overly enthused about it, though it's not without its good points.  I am coming around on Henderson, and I think the Shenault and Johnson picks have intriguing potential.  I have no real opinion on Bartch just yet, though fromt he bits and pieces I have read and heard about his intangibles, I have hope.

That said, I think much of the dissatisfaction over this draft is based upon the expectation that more would be done to give Minshew help on offense.  I was among those whi thought/hoped they would.

But in early retrospect, that was an unrealistic expectation.

The defense has been purged of players, and on top of that, they were switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4.

They had to spend draft capital accumulating personnel to have sum semblance of success implementing that change.

The team desperately needed a stud NT.  The team needed depth at LB.  To me, they could have stood to draft one or two more.

The team needed DBs.

If you looked at the roster, we had far fewer needs on offense than defense.

Not every need was going to be adequately addressed in one draft, even with 12 picks.
